# Quickstart: connect your tenant and start a review

> Sign in with Microsoft, connect your Microsoft 365 tenant, check the overview, and send your first lifecycle review in CtrlConnect.

CtrlConnect connects to your Microsoft 365 tenant through Microsoft Entra ID. This guide takes you from your first sign-in to sending your first lifecycle review.

> [!NOTE]
>
> To grant CtrlConnect access to your tenant, you need a Microsoft 365 Global Administrator. If you aren't one, you can still start the setup and send the approval request to your Global Administrator.

**1. Sign in with Microsoft**

Go to [app.ctrlconnect.nl](https://app.ctrlconnect.nl) and sign in with your Microsoft work account. CtrlConnect uses Entra ID single sign-on and does not store passwords.

**2. Choose a data region**

Pick **North America** or **Europe**. This sets where your tenant data is stored and can't easily be changed later. See [Connect your tenant](/get-started/connect-your-tenant.md) for details.

**3. Grant Microsoft permissions**

Review the permissions CtrlConnect requests, then click **Continue in Microsoft** to open the Microsoft consent dialog. If you aren't a Global Administrator, click **Request approval** instead and enter your administrator's email address.

**4. Open the overview**

After consent is approved, CtrlConnect opens the [overview](/overview.md). It shows users, licenses, sharing, and workspace health for your tenant.

**5. Send your first review**

Open **Lifecycle** > **Workspaces**, select an inactive workspace, and click **Send review**. Pick an email template and send it. The workspace owner receives a link to the [review portal](/lifecycle/review-portal.md), where they can keep the workspace, send it back for another review, or ask for it to be deleted.
