Lifecycle policies control when items show up in the review queues and what happens when nobody answers a review. Open them from Lifecycle > Policies.

Inactivity threshold

For each resource type, set how many days without activity it takes before an item is marked Inactive.

Review schedule

For each resource type, set how many days a review can stay Pending before it becomes Overdue. You can also set a reminder cadence while a review is pending.
Changes to thresholds and schedules don’t apply until you save them. Use the bar at the bottom of the page to save or discard your changes. Saved values apply to all three review queues.

Automation policies

An automation policy follows up on reviews for you. It waits for a trigger, sends a review email, and takes an action if the grace period passes without an answer. The actions you can choose depend on the policy type:

Create a policy

1

Start a new policy

On the Policies page, create a new automation policy.
2

Choose the type and trigger

Pick the policy type and how long an item must be inactive before the policy starts.
3

Choose the email and grace period

Pick the email template to send and how many days to wait for an answer.
4

Choose the action and save

Pick what happens if nobody answers, then save the policy.
Check the Last run column regularly. If a policy that should be running hasn’t run recently, it may have been disabled or its trigger no longer matches any items.
